MarketerHire's mission is to connect expert marketers with businesses quickly and seamlessly. They actively monitor Facebook groups, forums, and LinkedIn, and proactively place job descriptions and ask for referrals to find the very best freelance marketers. Top freelancers who learn about MarketerHire can also apply for admission.

MarketerHire reviews each marketer’s professional experience, client feedback, and work samples to assess their level of expertise and knowledge of best practices. Most freelancers also complete a skill-specific assessment. If all above criteria are met, the freelancer joins our MarketerHire community.

For business that are looking for top freelancer marketers, MarketerHire provides a 5-minute intake form on their website. Businesses provide information on their company size, project goals, and the various skills that they are looking for in a marketer. MarketerHire will then determine the ideal marketer, make an introduction, and help you onboard the marketer. This process typically takes 48 hours, saving businesses the hassle of posting on job boards, conducting interviews, and vetting candidates.

What is MarketerHire good for?

MarketerHire is good for high-growth businesses, startups, and enterprises looking to add the best quality marketing talent to their team. Some of the types of freelance marketers that you can get paired with on MarketerHire include:

  • Amazon Marketer
  • Brand Marketer
  • CMO
  • Content Marketer
  • Email Marketer
  • Growth Marketer
  • Paid Search Marketer

  • Social Media Marketer

However, expert, pre-vetted talent does come at a cost (we'll touch on this more below). MarketerHire is not good for businesses that don't have a decent size marketing budget. If you're looking for some quick wins, or want to launch some sporadic marketing campaigns because you are in the bootstrap stages, you'll likely be better off looking into other freelance marketplaces like Fiverr.

  • Hourly: $80-$160+/hour
  • Part-time (20% discount for 20-hour commitment): $1200-$2400+/week

MarketerHire Review

One of my favorite things about MarketerHire is their singular focus.

There are a lot of freelance websites out there and it can get quickly overwhelming. From a hiring manager's perspective, it's easy to get distracted by all of the different types of freelancers available. MarketerHire picked a lane and stays in it — they are solely focused on finding and connecting businesses with the best freelance marketers.

One thing to keep in mind is that MarketerHire is not a traditional freelance marketplace. This can take some getting used to, especially if you're accustomed to quick and dirty freelance hiring practices and platforms.

In other words, MarketerHire isn't like Fiverr, Upwork, or Freelancer. You don't have access to the talent base via a frontend database. It's a website for freelancers, but the big difference is that it's really more of a matching service. You can't just browse, choose, hire and pay. And while that can be con for some, it's also a big selling point.

I love that MarketerHire takes the guesswork out of hiring an expert freelancer. As a business owner, and rabid user of freelancing websites, I've had my fair share of “bad hires” that inevitably cost me a lot of time and money. (Read more on how I fell for an Upwork scam).

To engage MarketerHire and start a freelancer search is very simple. You just have to go to their website and click “Hire Marketers”. From there, you complete a quick survey to give them some initial insight on your business and marketing needs.

I enjoyed going through this process because I can see how this will streamline the freelancer selection process. One of my least favorite things about traditional freelance marketplaces is sifting through proposals and freelancer profiles. When it comes to marketing, everybody seems to have an amazing portfolio. They all look good on the surface. But after speaking with a handful of freelancers, you may find that they don't have the exact skills you require. Or maybe they've never worked in your industry, so they have to go through a learning curve. MarketerHire handles all of this messy vetting stuff for you, which is such a relief.

My only real knock on MarketerHire is the soft commitment of $1500 per month. With that being said, I understand why they do it — to ensure that they provide the best opportunities for their freelancers. The less turnover they have to deal with, the better. Also, less support and higher profit margins!

I look forward to using MarketerHire in the future as a resource to find high-quality freelancers. One of the challenges with running an agency comes is staffing, especially when you get a splash sale and need to scale up. You don't have a lot of time to vet freelancers and need to get someone who is capable of providing a high-return fast. This is where a platform like MarketerHire excels. They weed out the bad, so you can focus on getting results as quickly as possible.

MarketerHire Alternatives

MarketerHire provides businesses with access to quality, reliable digital marketing freelancers through an easy-to-use hiring marketplace.

With that being said, there are some downsides to their service, including time to placement and minimum commitment fees.

If you're looking for similar services to MarketerHire, or if you are simply looking for more websites to find freelance marketers, consider one of these alternatives.
