Content Raptor Overview

Content Raptor Overview

Content Raptor is a content optimization tool that gives you analytics on your current content and shows you ways you can optimize it, including a rewriting tool that optimizes posts for you.

It does this with a slew of helpful integrations that streamline your whole process, including one for WordPress that allows you to optimize posts without having to copy/paste them into the platform.

It also syncs with Google Search Console to track your data and use it to give optimization ideas (though they don’t store that data, worry not!)

From the homepage, you can open keywords in the content editor.

Content Raptor Keywords

Here, it shows you how you can best optimize your content with SERP entities and keyword variants. It shows you an “optimal range” and lets you know if you go over or under.

There’s also a “More opportunities” to identify even more ways to optimize your content.

Content Raptor Editor View

It also features a Surfer-SEO style content editor with keyword variants to add, similar to QueryHunter.

If you’re familiar with Ahrefs, there won’t be much of a learning curve for you at all.

It shows you the highest-ranking keywords and different variations so you can hone in on the best possible phrasing to use in your content.

Content Raptor Keywords

There’s also a rank tracker that does exactly what you’d imagine: track how well your posts are ranking for certain customizable keywords that you can set up.

There is also a paragraph rewriter that can rewrite paragraphs for you.

You can’t do a whole post in one, though, as each paragraph will cost you a credit.

How We Used & Tested Content Raptor

How We Used Content Raptor

We connected Content Raptor to our Google Search Console for two of our sites so that it could identify opportunities for us.

We also tried to connect it to our WordPress, but we use a funky plugin that most WordPress site owners do not, so it wasn’t in the cards for us.

We did copy/paste a few of our posts into the content optimizer with success and tried the paragraph rewriter with less success.

Content Raptor Review – Our Thoughts

Content Raptor Review Our Thoughts

Alright, now for the good part.

In general, I love the tool. It’s like if you combined SurferSEO with AHrefs with Query Hunter and a word spinner but then charged $10 a month for it.

Content Raptor SERPsThe dashboard is simple and easy to use, giving you the highlights immediately and making it easy to track ranking keywords and identify the best possible opportunities for optimization. The integration with GSC plays a key role in this, and I love that I can add all of my domains to track in one place.

150 keywords per site is a pretty decent number, so I look forward to making use of that. And when you compare the price to similar tools (that DON’T include optimization to the extent that this one does), there’s such a clear winner.

I’m also impressed with how the tool is able to optimize those posts for the best possible results. Having the ability to see content optimizations in terms of SERP entities and keyword variants, showing an optimum score so you don’t over or underuse each variant.

It also finds opportunities to make the content even better, offering suggestions that I’ll use to add sections to the existing post or create entirely new content for.

While the paragraph rewriter is incredibly helpful, I find that the per-credit charge for small sections and the results overall make it not my favorite feature on this app. But that’s such a minor drawback that this certainly shouldn’t deter you from using it.

Overall, it’s a win!

Pros: Here’s What I Like About Content Raptor

  • Thumbs Up - ProsThe simple, clean dashboard is great for quickly identifying where you can improve traffic.
  • Entity score is super easy to follow and use for SERP entities.
    • It lets me know which keywords to remove or add more of and it’s just satisfying to get your post in the optimal range.
  • Keyword variants tool is useful
    • quick way to potentially gain more traffic in your posts.
  • Dark mode & privacy blur for screen-sharing is a unique feature that we haven’t seen any similar tool offer.
  • The ability to connect with GSC and WordPress makes everything easier and more efficient.
  • More Opportunities is a good place to potentially add more sections or even get ideas on other related posts.
  • SERPs feature lets you see the entity score of competitors
    • most of them are in the optimal range – further reinforcing the importance of entities.
  • The quick guide that shows tooltips on what to do next was useful
    • I would love maybe a video demo to cover all the details on how to use it.
  • Customizable packages and per-site pricing
    • great option for agencies that want to track and optimize multiple sites in one place.
  • The customer support and easy cancellation make for a great overall user experience.

Cons: Here’s What I Don't Like About Content Raptor

  • Thumbs Down - ConsThe rewriting tool seems useful. The only thing is, one of the suggested keywords was “ada compliance accessible” – not a natural sounding keyword, and in the rewrite it included that keyword, which required manual editing.
    • Overall, the tool seems useful, especially if you tie it with ChatGPT to give some recommendations to not burn through credits.
  • It does take a bit of time to load up the SERPs when optimizing a post
    • which is totally expected- but nothing too long, and it's worth waiting to see the valuable information.
  • It would be nice if I could select an entity and only have that entity highlighted in the content – right now, I’m just doing a cntrl+f to find mentions.
    • Obviously, it’s such a minor extra step that it’s barely worth mentioning.

Is Content Raptor Worth It?

Is Content Raptor Worth it

At just $10 per month, Content Raptor is beyond worth it.

You won’t find a similar tool anywhere near that price point, much less one that can do all that it does in one place.

What Is Content Raptor?

What Is Content Raptor

Content Raptor is an all-in-one content optimization tool that features a keyword tracker, an optimization tool that identifies opportunities for better optimization and how to use the right keywords in the right way frequency, and a simple dashboard that lets you know about your best optimization opportunities immediately.

You can connect directly to GSC for up to three domains for active monitoring and updates.

It also has a rank tracker to show you in real-time where your content is ranking for select keywords (up to 150).

Who Should Use It?

With as cheap a price point as it is (plans start at just $10 per month,) I would recommend it for SEO site owners of all sizes.

If you own a site that relies on quality, SEO-rich content to turn a profit, you can benefit from (and likely afford, which is important!) Content Raptor.

It's a much less expensive option to try out before hiring an SEO expert.

We think it’s most beneficial for agencies who own multiple sites and want to track all of them in one place while quickly identifying the best opportunities to improve rank.

Content Optimization

Content Raptor Optimal UsageThe real claim to fame here is the content optimization tools.

You can either copy/paste your content into the tool or connect it to WordPress to make the process even easier (more on that later!)

It will give you an entity coverage score and highlight what the optimal range for that score should be. It gives you pointers on how to edit the content to get into that optimal range, and you can filter through keywords based on which ones are overused, underused, or in the optimal range.

It will identify alternative keywords to work into your content to enrich it and make it more optimized, as well as a “More opportunities” tab that could inform you on what sections you could consider adding to the post you’re editing or to make new content entirely.

It also has a paragraph spinner that basically adds keywords to the paragraph.

Rank Tracker

The rank tracker is another useful feature that will track how your posts are performing for specific keywords.

You get up to 150 keywords to track per site. Not bad!

It will tell you your biggest losses, your biggest gains, and the biggest opportunities for optimizations to rank higher.

Additional Features

Additional Features Content Raptor

Along with all that, you also get access to some super hand additional features, some of which we haven’t seen with any of the comparable tools.

WordPress Integration

Content Raptor is able to connect directly to WordPress, allowing you to transfer your optimized content to and from WordPress without having to copy/paste every time.

This saves a great amount of time and effort when compared to copy/pasting your life away every time you make an edit.

Search Console Connection

Another useful tool is the search console connection. You can connect Content Raptor to your Google Search Console, so you can track your site’s presence in Google search right there next to your content optimization tool.

Privacy Blur

Privacy Blur Content Raptor

This is a feature we haven’t yet seen in other content optimization tools, and we think it’s one worth having.

This will blur your content in the background, which is useful if you’re trying to screenrecord or screenshot something without giving up too much personal information.
