What is Heymarket?
Heymarket is an SMS service marketing service that gives businesses the tools they need to craft communication channels between them and their customers for marketing campaigns and customer service.
They offer shared inboxes and other collaborative tools to keep all of your team members on the same page. Heymarket offers thousands of integrations as well as API gateways to automate your services.
Their performance and analytics programs allow you to track your progress in real-time. Heymarket also supports messaging channels other than text, including Facebook and LINE.
How Does Heymarket Work?
Heymarket offers a variety of tools to create and elevate your SMS marketing and customer service programs.
You’ll be greeted with an inbox once you set up an account, where you can create a message specific to customers in just a few clicks. Users can either create contacts manually, or import them through their phones, integrations, or APIs.
The Campaign tab allows you to create custom text message campaigns for a larger group of customers. You can organize campaigns by either sending automated messages to subscribers on certain time intervals, or manually select days when you want to send a message.
Heymarket allows you to share an inbox and contacts by simply adding members into your account. You can send private messages over Heymarket, and assign specific clients to a team member.
As a cloud-based app, team members only need to input their Heymarkey credentials to log into the program.
You can automate functions by programming Heymarket to identify certain keywords. For example, if a customer texts “JOIN,” they can automatically be opted in to a text messaging marketing list.
Heymarket also allows you to leverage existing data and tools through various integrations. Apps that you can integrate into Heymarket include:
- Apple Business Chat
- Facebook Messenger
Whether it’s creating contacts or updating subscriber lists, Heymarket’s APIs allow you to integrate existing workflows into the app. They also allow you to receive and send messages from alternate channels, including Facebook, your business’s website, and Google search results.

What Does Heymarket Cost? (Heymarket Pricing)
Heymarket has four pricing options: Standard, Plus, Pro, and Enterprise. Each one is designed to support your team’s SMS needs relative to your company’s size and overall reach.
You can either pay a monthly fee or pay an annual subscription. The annual payment provides a monthly discount of about $10 to $40 depending on the plan you choose and gives you two months of their services free of charge.
The Standard plan costs $59 a month or $588 annually and offers all of Heymarket’s basic features. This includes unlimited team members, contacts, devices, and message retention. You can send up to 1,000 messages per month and receive a daily list size of 400, which is the number of unique people the inbox can message each day using campaigns.
The Plus plan, priced at $119 a month or $1188 annually, gives you 2,500 messages per month and a 600 daily list size. You get reports and analytics for a year’s worth of data, as well as all the other features of the Standard plan. You also gain access to integrations.
The Pro plan costs $239 a month or $2388 annually. You get 5,000 messages per month and receive reports for 2 years’ worth of data on top of API access. Contacts, team members, devices, and retention are all unlimited.
The Enterprise plan is Heymarket’s custom plan, meaning you can set a custom number of messages and list size by contacting a representative. The Enterprise plan also gives you priority access from their customer support team and a dedicated training program.
Each plan comes with a free trial, and you can cancel or change subscription plans at any time.
In terms of team-oriented SMS marketing platforms, you’d be hard-pressed to find one better than Heymarket. Their team features extend far beyond just letting multiple users look at one inbox, and it was easily our favorite part about the platform.
Being able to assign specific contacts made it easy to streamline work between multiple users, while the private chat feature proved to be an incredibly useful collaborative tool in a remote work environment.

Their UI is clean and easy to use. You likely won’t have much trouble setting up an SMS marketing campaign or customer service programs in just a few minutes.
While their automation and campaign features aren’t breaking new ground, they’re as versatile as they come. Setting up a campaign to launch at specific times or during certain time intervals are useful tools, and their message templates proved to be valuable as well.
Compared to its contemporaries, Heymarket doesn’t have as many resources or guides for their tools either. Based on their pricing structure, it seems that only the Enterprise users have access to dedicated training.
Pros: Here’s what I like about Heymarket

Cons: Here are the only things I don’t like about Heymarket
- Certain useful features like integrations and APIs are locked to users unless they pay for more expensive plans.
- A general lack of resources and guides for APIs, integrations, and other features that some inexperienced users might have trouble navigating.
- It’s not optimized for multiple languages, meaning users with a non-English customer base might have to go through some hurdles.

What is List Size?
List Size is the daily number of unique people you can message through your inbox each day with your lists and campaigns.
Do I need to pay a separate subscription for multiple inboxes?
